HIS WORKS CONSIST OF MOSTLY COLORFUL, PRIMITIVE FOLK ART
PAINTINGS. WHICH HE PAINTS WITH ACRYLICS ON WOOD AND OLD ROOFING
TIN, IN RECENT YEARS HE HAS BEEN WORKING IN A MIXED
MEDIA WHICH USES A TAR BASE ON WOOD, & MOST RECENTLY
JOHN HAS BEEN EXPERIMENTING WITH OIL STICKS ON WOOD. JOHN’S
PAINTINGS ARE OF THE RURAL BLACK SOUTH,
MUSICIANS (MOSTLY BLUES ARTISTS) HUMUROUS ANTEDOTES, ANIMALS AND
FLOWERS..

LIKES PAINTING HIS FOLK ART WHILE LISTENING TO HIS MUSIC WHICH ALSO
INSPIRES HIM , HE QUIT HIS CORPORATE JOB BECAUSE HE KNEW HE HAD TO
PAINT. THAT WAS IN THE FALL OF 2000. WHEN ASKED BY A FELLOW
ARTIST AT ONE OF HIS FIRST SHOWINGS, “ HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN
PAINTING?”. HE REPLIED, “ABOUT SIX MONTHS’ . TO WHICH THE FELLOW
ARTIST EXCLAIMED, “YOU JUST EXPLODED, DIDN’T YOU. !!
JOHN
& HIS WIFE , DANETTE, ( A WOOD ARTIST / CARPENTER), LIVE IN A
TURN-OF THE-CENTURY FARM HOUSE IN RURAL, NORTHEAST GEORGIA WHERE THEY
CREATE AND APPRECIATE A SIMPLER WAY OF LIFE. JOHN’S WORKS ARE
AVAILABLE THROUGH OUT THE U.S., BUT MAINLY IN THE SOUTHEAST. JOHN
& HIS WIFE FEEL SO VERY BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN GIVEN THEIR TALENTS
& THE PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATE THEIR ART. THANK YOU
